Troubleshooting: Clear Browser Cache

At times, you may need to reset your browser (one of the most common suggestions for troubleshooting, as well as one of the most common fixes for issues that may occur). Here's how:

Clear your cache.

Empty your cache and hard refresh your current page.

How do I clear my cache?

Please note that after you clear your cache,  some sites' settings can be deleted, such as if you were signed in, you will need to sign in again. In addition, some sites can seem slower because they need to reload content (such as images).

In most troubleshooting cases, you'll want to clear your entire cache - to do this, select the beginning of time.

How do I hard refresh my browser?

Sometimes, you may also need to hard refresh the browser. Here are some easy shortcuts to do this for each browser type:

Chrome:

Windows/Linux:

Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button

Open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing F12. Once the chrome dev tools are open, just right-click on the refresh button and a menu will dropdown. This menu gives you the option of doing a hard refresh, or even clearing the cache and do a hard refresh automatically.
