Now that the text box is active, you can:

  • Type new text or delete existing text.

  • Use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl/Cmd + Z to undo or Ctrl/Cmd + C/V to copy and paste.
  • Format your text using the toolbar that appears above or near the selected text box. This includes:
    • Changing font style and size
    • Applying bold, italic, underline
    • Adjusting text color
    • Aligning text (left, center, right)
    • Adding bullet points or numbered lists

Common Question

Why can't I edit my text?

If you're unable to edit text or type content in your visual, it’s most likely due to a browser or cache issue.

To fix this, we recommend:

  • Using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
  • Avoiding browsers like Internet ExplorerMicrosoft Edge, or Safari, as they may restrict certain scripts needed for Piktochart to work properly
  • Clearing your browser cache and cookies, then refreshing the page

How do I fill a text box with color?

  1. Select a basic square shape. Resize the shape and position it accordingly.
  2. Double-click the shape to activate the text function.
  3. Type in your text.

How do I add superscript/subscript?

Currently, we don't offer a way to add superscripts or subscripts. As a workaround, create a new textbox positioning it as desired.
