What happens when I see Font Replacement Modal?
Why do I see a Font Replacement Modal?
There are 2 main reasons why you are seeing a pop-up on your visual requesting you to replace your fonts:
- You have uploaded a custom font and no longer have access to the font, i.e. deleted the custom font
- Your visual contains old font that is no longer supported
What happens when I see Font Replacement Modal?
When you edit a visual with a font that is no longer supported, you will see a pop-up message that indicates the affected fonts.
What Options Do I Have?
- Apply Changes: The replacement fonts are recommended because they’re very similar to the fonts being removed, and this can reduce disruption to the visuals. However, there may be slight differences between some of them which may cause text alignment issues. If that happens, you will need to adjust the text box sizes to fix them.
- Upload your own fonts: If you’re a PRO user and you have licenses for any of the fonts being removed, you can upload them through the Brand Assets → Fonts page. Check out our Uploading Custom Fonts article to learn more.
What If I Choose Cancel?
If you choose to cancel, all the unsupported fonts will still revert to the replacement fonts by default on your visuals. However, you can choose to upload the font file if you have and once the fonts are uploaded, your visuals will be updated with the fonts.

Where Can I Find or Purchase the Fonts I Need?
Some Fonts can be found on your own computer. They are called System Fonts. These are the System Fonts that are being unpublished from Piktochart:
- Verdana
- Helvetica
- Tahoma
- Comic Sans
- Impact
- Times New Roman
- Arial
- Courier New
- Georgia
- Trebuchet MS
If you're using Windows:
1. Go to your Windows/Fonts folder (My Computer → Control Panel → Fonts)
2. Select View → Details. You'll see the font names in one column and the file name in another. In recent versions of Windows, type "fonts" in the Search field and click Fonts - Control Panel in the results.
If you're using Mac:
1. Search for the Font Book folder on your Mac.
2. Look for the system font you need.
