Preserve Your Uploaded Content

What is the Preserve Content Feature?

Piktochart AI's Preserve Content feature ensures that key information remains intact when transforming text-heavy documents into engaging visuals. This feature helps maintain accuracy, consistency, and clarity while leveraging AI to generate visual content efficiently. This is best if you have long form content in a document you wish to retain!

How to Use the Preserve Content Feature

  1. Navigate to Piktochart AI.
  2. Upload Your Document or Paste your Text – Ensure you're on the Document format and the Preserve Content feature is turned on.

  1. Generate Visual - Click the Generate Visual to let Piktochart AI create visuals while keeping your selected content intact.
  2. Select your preferred Template – Review the output template options and choose the visual style that best suits your needs.
  3. Preserve Content Preview – Should your document exceed five (5) pages, consider upgrading to the Business Plan to retain all pages of your content!
  4. Edit Your Visual – To make further adjustments, simply click Edit this Visual on the upper right menu. This will allow you to access the Editor, where you can carry out further customization to your visual, such as Uploading Images, Editing Text and Inserting a Table.

⚠️ Limitations & Future Updates

  • The first five (5) pages are free to export with full content preservation. Unlock more pages by upgrading to Business plan.
  • We’re working on expanding support for more content types in future updates!

Common Questions

Why aren’t all the details captured when I paste or upload content?

Currently, full content preservation is only supported in Document format. Other formats—like infographics, posters, flyers, and brochures—do not yet support capturing all pasted or uploaded text. We’re actively working on improving this experience, and hope to expand support to more formats in the future!

Will Charts and Tables in My Uploaded Document Be Preserved?

Yes — with the Preserve Content feature enabled, charts and tables from your uploaded document will be retained in the final output. While Piktochart AI currently does not generate editable charts from raw data, it visually preserves the charts and tables as they appear in your original file. This ensures your key data remains part of the visual, even if it's not yet editable in the Editor.
